It was 10 years ago, on January 12, 2010 that the earth shook the already fragile country of Haïti. A couple months later, when the dust was starting to settle on the rubbles, I had the Immense privilege to visit this country for a second time and document some of the damages.

It all started over a beer on New year’s eve. My aunt told me about this race she had been running for the last two years. She said it was crazy enough that it would be “my kind of thing”: a trail race, in a cross country skiing club, with only 35 participants, and a poutine at the end. In May I traveled with my son to New York City and we visited the 9/11 Memorial Museum. It was a truly emotional visit but also one of the best way to teach my son about this tragic day.
